Wang Qun from Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association and his entourage visited Qingzhou Jianfu Gear (a national "little giant" enterprise), learned about its gear production and new energy layout. Wang affirmed its development model, saying it will boost Shandong's equipment industry innovation.
As a core transmission component of mechanical equipment, gears feature high precision, strong reliability, and large load-bearing capacity, and are widely used in vehicle manufacturing, metallurgy, aviation, electric power, and other fields. With the rapid development of the automotive industry, the market's performance requirements for gears have become increasingly stringent, and their quality directly determines the overall vehicle quality. Wang Qun, Deputy Secretary-General of Shandong Equipment Manufacturing Industry Association, and his entourage visited Qingzhou Jianfu Gear Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jianfu Gear") — a company focusing on the production of spiral gears for automotive axles — to conduct exchanges and gain an in-depth understanding of the enterprise's development status and future plans.

As a national-level "little giant" enterprise specializing in specialized, refined, characteristic, and innovative fields, as well as a provincial-level single-item champion enterprise, Jianfu Gear is located in the Economic Development Zone of Qingzhou City, Shandong Province. It covers an area of 200 mu (approximately 133,333 square meters), with a building area of 72,000 square meters, fixed assets of 410 million yuan, and more than 400 employees. The company's products cover five series: heavy-duty truck engineering vehicles, heavy-duty truck road vehicles, medium-duty trucks, light trucks, and agricultural machinery tractors. It produces 2 million sets of various gears annually, with its production and sales volume ranking among the top in the national industry, and it holds a leading position in the segmented field of automotive spiral bevel gears.
Currently, the global economy is accelerating its transformation towards electrification and automation, a trend that is reshaping the market demand for transmission system components — the demand for high-strength, high-torque ring gears and pinion solutions in heavy-duty trucks and off-road machinery continues to grow. Gear manufacturing relies on precision processes and refined management and control, with production processes covering complex procedures such as forging, cutting, heat treatment, and surface treatment. The precision breakthrough from 20 microns to 5 microns is backed by the pursuit of excellence in every process. Since its establishment in 1990, Jianfu Gear has gradually grown from a traditional workshop into an industry benchmark with core technologies. It now has a provincial-level industrial design center, and has accumulated 70 patents and 21 software copyrights. It is a core supplier to well-known domestic enterprises such as Sinotruk, FAW Group, Sany Heavy Industry, and Pan Gu Power, and accounts for 70% of the domestic market share in the relevant segmented market.
Wang Qun and his entourage visited Jianfu Gear's production site in person. In the modern production workshop, a full-process intelligent manufacturing system composed of more than 660 precision processing equipment, 10 high-gear production lines such as Germany Klingelnberg C50, 36 gear production lines from the United States Gleason, and 8 automatic continuous heat treatment production lines from Austria Aichelin is operating at high speed. Modern electric vehicles have strict requirements for low noise, low vibration, and low noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) performance. On the basis of the industry noise standard of no more than 85 decibels, Jianfu Gear has further raised its own standards, accurately controlling the gear operation noise within 80 decibels — this value is nearly half lower than that of traditional gears, demonstrating exquisite precision manufacturing technology in "silence".
New energy vehicles have much higher requirements for gear precision, noise reduction effect, and transmission efficiency than traditional gears. To this end, Jianfu Gear has invested heavily in introducing advanced equipment from world-class international enterprises such as Switzerland Reishauer and Germany Klingelnberg, and built a specialized new energy vehicle gear production base. At present, the base has achieved a production capacity of 1,000 new energy gears per day, and the related business accounts for 5% of the company's total output value, becoming a new growth engine for the enterprise's development.
After the visit, Wang Qun pointed out that Jianfu Gear focuses on improving gear precision and making breakthroughs in new energy technologies, and has set a model for the industry with its development model of "technology + capital + ecology". The small gears are driving the development of a "large industry", and will surely inject new momentum into the collaborative innovation of Shandong's equipment manufacturing industry in the future.
